The IF product design award is one of the three most important design contests worldwide, and can look back on a history of more than 50 years.
Many opinion leaders in the design sector call the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany ("Designpreis der Bundesrepublik Deutschland") the "Prize of Prizes". You cannot apply for this design award, instead you have to be nominated by the German federal state ministers for economic affairs, or by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
